The small port of Assos lies in the bay Ormos Assou in the western part of the island. It is open to the North and therefore is during the borealis flooded, which makes lying there extremely uncomfortable. The small pier on the east side has only enough space for two to three pleasure crafts. Directly at the port you will find little taverns small tourist shops.
